Unbelievably it's Semi Finals time already. As we all know, England are nowhere to be seen, but there again, neither are France, Italy, Portugal, Argentina or Brazil. The Spain v Germany game promises to be a good spectacle. Will Germany score 4 goals again? Will Torres find the back of the net eventually? Can Uruguay overcome the impressive Dutch? Will they employ the winning tactic of actually having 2 goalkeepers on the pitch at the same time? (although Suarez is suspended...). We shall see...

It's Quarter Finals time already. Time certainly flies once England have been knocked out... There are some surprises among the usual suspects. While the likes of Brazil, Spain, Netherlands, Argentina and Germany are all familiar names in the Quarter Final draw, it's Uruguay, Paraguay and Ghana who have excelled in the tournament so far and fully deserve their place amongst the elite.

As painful as it is to think about football today, the Motor Trader World Cup Predictor Game must go on! To take your minds off such topics as goal line technology, inept defending, the anonymous Wayne Rooney and begin soundly beaten by the Germans, we have the latest leaderboard below.

Well, England have done it! They've managed to negotiate their way out of Group C with a 1-0 win over Slovenia and a much improved performance. Their reward for securing the runners up spot? A second round clash with Germany. As always, if England are going to progress they will have to do it the hard way. Is there any other way for an England fan?

The World Cup is now a week old and we are into the second round of group games. So far we have been impressed with Germany and Argentina, while the likes of Uruguay, Mexico, Paraguay, Japan and Switzerland have all produced decent results. France have been bitterly disappointing and Spain have been shocked by the Swiss.
