Automotive Lead Generation Success With Google Ads

We're working with some amazing automotive/ car finance lead generation clients here at The Search Mechanics at the moment, and they needed some input into their Google Ads campaigns performance, and how to get more out of their budgets.

Our PPC audit highlighted various areas of Google Ads that they weren’t utilising such as:

– No RSAs set up across the campaigns (Responsive Search Ads)
– No sign of any DSAs (Dynamic Search Ads)
– No Performance Max campaigns set up
– No effective Budget management

We set the above up for them, as well as some standard Google Ads housekeeping tasks such as regular search query reports/ Ad Copy split testing and some new Ad Extensions tests. We also set up some new bidding strategy techniques across the campaigns, to help allow Google to drive as many conversions for their allotted daily budgets as possible.

Within just 8 weeks of these new changes having been implemeted we managed to halve this clients cost per click (it’s actually slightly more than that at -56%) whilst having kept the conversion rate at a similar level, resulting in their Cost per Conversion to decrease by 50%!

This automotive lead generation client is now seeing twice the amount of leads with their existing budget

The big winners for the client were the Performance Max campaigns as well as the DSAs (Dynamic Search Ads) – these really helped us drive some strong volume to the websites as well as keeping Cost per Conversions well under the average across the account.

This client is now re-investing more money into the Google Ads channel to further scale their lead generation model.
